Christmas
This year for Christmas I am really not sure what we are doing. We will probably do what we always do and a little more. We usually go over to Paducah to my grandparents house on Christmas Eve and open the presents that they got us there. Then on Christmas morning we wake up about 5 o'clock (we are usually very anxious) and open the presents our parents got us. After that we usually watch A Christmas Story because it's showing on about every channel. At about lunchtime we go over to our other grandparents house and we have a Christmas dinner and we open the presents they got us. This year I am pretty sure we are doing that and we might be going to see my cousin who lives in Fort Worth but I'm not real sure.
One of the best Christmas presents that I have ever gotten was a trampoline. I remember waking up Christmas morning and opening all of our presents and I was kind of dissapointed because usually our parents get us something big, but this year it was mainly all little things. About an hour went by and my parent said "Martin, why don't you go look outside." So I went outside and I saw this big trampoline that looked so amazing to me back when I was about 8. I rushed back into the house to get my jacket on so I could go jump on it. I think I stayed on that thing probably all day.

The Presidential Election
Well, as everybody knows Obama will be our new president. I am pretty bummed about it, but I guess there's not anything we can do about. I do not agree with anything he stands for. First of all he wants to take all of our troups out of Iraq. I say since we went over there and started that we need to keep them over there and finish what we started. Another thing is he is for abortion and gay marriage. I mean, those things are so wrong. Abortion is murdering an innocent child that hasn't even be born yet, and gay marriage is just disgusting and goes against what the bible says. Also Obama doesn't even say The Pledge of Allegiance. If you watch something on T.V. and it shows The Pledge of Allegiance, if you look at him he just turns around and stands there until it's over. One other thing is, he isn't even going to do anything he says he is. I know everyone says McCain is just like Bush, but seriously everyone should just stop blaiming the president for everything. Even if the president does have a lot of power he doesn't make every decision. So if you ask me, I think Obama is all wrong for the job.

Invisibility
If I could become invisible I would do all sorts of crazy things. I could play pranks on everyone and not get caught. I could go places without having to pay or have an invitation. If I was invisible I would have so much fun. The first thing I would probably do is sneak into a movie theater or something and watch a new movie without having to pay. I would also maybe go to a really fancy restaurant and go into the kitchen and eat the best thing on the menu, and I wouldn't even have to pay a penny. Another thing I would do is go up to someone I really despise and start talking to them in a really weird/scary voice and when they turn around there would be no one there so they would just be freaking out. Some disadvantages of being invisible would be when your walking everyone would be bumping into you, I would get really tired of that. Another one would be you wouldn't be able to go to the doctor if your hurt badly. You couldn't tell him where it hurts because he wouldn't be able to see you.

Memories
I remember one Christmas a long time ago, we had a ton of snow. It was just amazing because I was really little and I had never seen anything like it ever before. I remember walking out and I was just astonished at what I saw, I could see snow for miles and miles away. We had finally gotten all of our snow clothes on and I was ecstatic because we got to go play in snow which only comes around once or twice a year and especially with Childress because we might not even get that. I remember doing everything in the snow that I had seen everyone else do on T.V. I think I made about a thousand snow angels, a hundred snowmen, and hit my brother with a million snowballs. I think that day is one of the best memories that I have.

Bonfire
I really don't like not being able to have a bonfire because I think that the bonfires in the past were really awesome. I know that there is nothing we can do to change the fact that we can't have a bonfire, and Mr. Wilson can't do anything either, so we might as well just make the best out of what we have. I also think everyone should stop complaining about it because we are lucky we are even getting to do the parade. One thing we might could do is have some sort of super pep rally or something out on the football field. In it we could have the cheerleaders do cool things they don't normally do in a regular pep rally, and the band could play songs that we don't usually, but they would have to be really cool. I really do wish that we could have the bonfire but it's not the end of the world so we might as well just go with the flow.

I Wish Law
I wish there were a law that said once you reach a certain age like 75 you can't drive or you have to drive with someone 50 or under. This would be a good law because I always hate it when I'm stuck driving behind an old lady or an old man and they go about 20 mph when the actual speed limit is 45. I know that that they are trying to be cautious and they really don't understand that other people are trying to drive, but they need to either speed up or get off of the road. This doesn't mean that they can't drive at all it just means that they have to be driving with someone who is 50 and younger and 21 and older that way if they are going slow the person can tell them that they need to go faster.

TEWWG Prereading Journal
If I didn't fit in anywhere life would be very boring. If all i did was just exist and that's it, I would probably go crazy. All I would ever do is sit in my room because no one would want to accept me. Usually around here where we live we don't fit in with rich or city people. When people usually think of Texas they think about cowboys and farmers especially right here in Childress. A lot of times us high schoolers don't fit in with the popular crowd and we get rejected from our piers just because of the way we look or talk or something like that.

In ten years I hope to be either in my senior year at college or trying to get into vet school. I will probably be working at that time because my parents won’t be giving me any money so if i don’t work i will be living on the streets. I don’t really want a family when I’m at that point in my life because it would be WAY to stressful to be dealing with that and school. If I do happen to still be in college I hope to be at A&M because they have the best vet program in Texas. So hopefully in ten years I can accomplish all of this, but if not I guess I will just see what happens.

Well, I really don't really remember anything that happened during school. All I know is that is was in Mrs. Lambert's class, who is now Mrs. Potts, when it happened. I do remember though what happened after school. I didn't get to go home right away because we lived about 30 miles out of town when i was in third grade. We went to my grandma's house and i remember everyone just sitting in the living room the whole time watching t.v. I also remember that on t.v. they kept showing what was happening at that time, and for about a week I remember going back there to do the same thing, and I remember the smoke from the buildings just kept coming for about two weeks. If i could commemorate to the people who died I would get one balloon for every person and put their name on it and I would just let them all go at the same time up into the air. I honostly do not think that our country or any country for that matter is safe from terrorism, but we could do a little more i think to stop it.

If I could change anything about my life, I would change having a little brother to being an only child. I almost hate having a little brother because he is the most annoying person in the world. He always gets me in trouble, and sometimes it's for things i did not even do! He is also the biggest baby ever, he cries about the littlest, and stupidest things. For example this morning i flicked a piece of cookie off of a paper that i needed and when it hit him he started freaking out. Some days I just wish i did not have a little brother.
